Microdermabrasion:
Microdermabrasion is effective in reducing fine lines, "crow's
feet," age spots and acne scars. It stimulates the production
of skin cells and collagen. It has proven to be a very popular
non surgical cosmetic procedure; see current American Society
for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS) statistics.
Technique:
The hand piece emits crystals onto the surface of the skin,
resulting in a gentle abrasion or "polishing" process.
Each treatment takes from 30 minutes to an hour. The number
of treatments recommended for maximal results can range between
5 and 12.
Microdermabrasion:
Microdermabrasion is a skin rejuvenation method for the treatment
of acne scarring, sun damage, age spots, blemishes, uneven
pigmentation, enlarged pores, blackheads and stretch marks.
Procedure:
Microdermabrasion removes the surface layer of the skin, without
the use of chemicals, lasers or acids. The procedure utilizes
a device called a "non-crystal microdermabrader," which
is a wand that attaches to the skin with suction and gently
sands down surface layers of the skin. This process unblocks
pores, removes and vacuums away dead skin cells, and stimulates
circulation.
MicroDermex 1200:
The MicroDermex 1200 treatment is so gentle, clients can go
out the same night as the treatment. Unlike chemical peeling
and traditional medical dermabrasion, the MicroDremex 1200
causes absolutely no post-treatment pain. While the treatment
site may remain red for a few hours, clients can resume their
normal daily activities immediately after a treatment.
